Mel Heflin was born and raised in Winchester, Va. She started modeling professionally at the tender age of 13 with catalog shoots and teen runway. At just 19 Mel dove deep into the world of film with her first feature, Scarlet Rain, this gave forth to a passion that would soon become Mel's career and lifetime ambition. These days she works on some of the most interesting and fun things most people only dream about; flying to Canada to be painted by Samantha Wpg, appearing on the cover of Malevolent Magazine's Women in Horror Month issue, time-traveling back in time to WWII events to help support our troops with the Classic Pinup Charity Calendar, being turned into a zombie mermaid during a live special FX demo by Pittsburgh FX, sailing out on a real ship to film Pirate Maidens, shooting an fashion set with real live sheep with Mia Stacy, appearing on more than one of Ellen Griffin writer of Viseratta's book covers, being filmed in 3D in Steve: Death Collector, not to mention when stunt coordinator Johnny Sullivan set her ablaze for a pyro stunt on set of Family Property II! These are just a few of the many highlights. Mel has had a damn exciting career this far and it's only the beginning!
